question about the second life virtual game?

Question by baby: question about the second life virtual game?
So.. I was watching MTV one time and on and episode of True Life there was a girl playing Second Life. I have been thinking about making the download and seeing what it was all about but wanted to see if anybody out here has it. If so, is it safe for my computer and what is it like?
gimmie some details. 🙂

It is safe for your computer and it is fun but not for everybody. The first time I joined in 2006 I did not like it. A couple of years later, a friend drag me back into it and that was it, I have been addicted since then. I guess it does help when you have good friends around you to help and show you and it is just way more fun.

  1. Yes It is save for your computer if you down load the viewer from Linden labs web site.
I know a few people from Yahoo answers in Second Life, I joined years ago and have not stopped,
you can make a lot of friendly people their and most are helpful to newcomers,
and there are many training videos and tutorials on youtube made by second residents
if you have questions or need help. just ask Yahoo Answers or the secondlifewiki
ITS Really FUN making friends and even make Real $ $ , playing the games inside second life,
    building and selling items,
    ENJOY 🙂

  2. It’s completely safe to download, and it’s great fun. I’ve been a resident of Second Life since 2006 and I still love it.

The thing to remember is that it’s a Virtual World, not a game. Once you join up, it’s up to you to find your own entertainment. But there is plenty to do. You can go shopping (and there’s plenty of “shopping” that’s free so you don’t need money). You can go dancing at clubs, listen to all kinds of music, DJs or live performers. There are places for roleplaying, or places just to sit and chat. You can learn to build and create your own things, and if you get good at that you could even set up your own shop and sell to other players. You can go to classes to learn how to do that. There are also classes for other things too, like foreign languages. There are sports and games, you can go sailing, horseriding, fishing, motor racing, play trivia games or bingo-type games. You can learn “photography” and take some amazing snapshots. You can go on “Hunts” which are like treasure hunts round the shops, where you can get lots of nice free clothes and other things.

The possibilities are almost endless and most of it is totally free.
